ADOPT Delta Protection Commission 2006-2011 Strategic Plan, including: Vision and Mission Statements; Program, Funding and Leadership Strategies; Strategic Work Plan Goals for Program Administration; and Strategic Work Plan Goals for Implementation of the Land Use & Resource Management Plan for the Primary Zone of the Delta.
  6. RATIFY Executive Director as a Member of the Discover the Delta Foundation Board of Directors, Consistent with Mission and Vision of the Commission.
  7. APPROVE Refinement of Recreation Citizens Advisory Committee Membership; to Effectively Represent Delta "Residents and Stakeholders".
  8. Receive Information from Commission Executive Director.
  9. Receive Informational Update on Delta Mercury TMDL Collaborative.
  10. Receive Information on Development of Delta Dredging Long-Term Management Strategy, Including Delta Protection Commission Representation on Executive Committee and Policy Review Group.
  11. Receive Information on Delta Risk Management Strategy.
  12. Receive Information on Beach Stone Lakes Flood Control Plan.

  13. Receive Information on Draft Sacramento River Corridor Floodway Management Plan.

    2. Receive Informational Recap of Delta Vision Conference Held on June 6th and June 7th, Co-sponsored by the Delta Protection Commission. (L. Fiack) (10 min).
    1. Receive Informational Presentation on Delta Emergency Response and Preparedness Summit Facilitated by the Chair of the Commission, and Staff, with Support from the Center for Collaborative Policy, Pursuant to Commission Direction and Authorization on January 26, 2006 and March 23, 2006. (L. Fiack/CCP) (15 min).
    2. Recognize Funding Contributions for the Summit from The Dutra Group; Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc.; MBK Engineers; and Wood Rodgers, Inc.
    3. DIRECT Staff to Pursue Summit Follow-up Tasks that Include:
      1. Presentations to respective local governing bodies with a focus on development of a statement of compelling need for Delta-wide cooperation and coordination;
      2. Preparation of a draft letter of coordination institutionalizing jurisdictional intent to conduct joint efforts to pursue common benefits;
      3. Preparation of a Resolution of Support, including commitment of support for continued discussions by Delta-wide leaders on a regular basis regarding Delta-wide emergency preparedness and response;
      4. Facilitate Delta Emergency Response work group discussions to identify and pursue timely funding opportunities in support of a Delta emergency preparedness plan; and
      5. Facilitate Emergency Preparedness and Response discussions with Delta Emergency Response Leaders to develop an appropriate set of Delta-wide training exercise scenarios including associated cost estimates, consideration and/or implementation by Delta jurisdictions
  19. Receive Information Update on South Delta Improvements Program and North Delta Improvements Program. (K. Kelly) (10 min.)
  20. Receive Information on Farm Bill Listening Session. (S. Shaffer) (10 min.)
  21. Receive Update on Clarksburg Old Sugar Mill Project and Take Action, if Timing is Determined to be Appropriate. (L. Fiack/D. Siegel)
