- Representatives of the Natural Resources Defense Council will update the Commission on recent legal rulings regarding flows in the San Joaquin River and what the rulings mean for the River and the Delta.
- Presentation of Updated Recreation Facilities Inventory
(For Commission Review and Discussion)
- Commission staff has updated the Recreation Facilities Inventory as part of the current recreation planning process. Staff will present the revised inventory and identify changes since release of the first inventory in 1997.
- Report from Delta Land Use Impacts Committee Regarding Review of Projects in the Primary and Secondary Zones
(For Commission Action)
- The Committee will recommend a process for review of projects and activities.
- Discussion of Possible Updates to Land Use and Resource Management Plan for the Primary Zone of the Delta Protection Commission
(For Commission Information and Discussion)
- A panel of individuals familiar with the adopted Plan and current Delta issues will present their thoughts regarding updating the Background Reports and the Plan.
- Adopt Proposed Report to the Legislature on the status of review of the Land Use and Resource Management Plan, including efforts to identify changes and growth pressures within the Primary Zone, and lands within the Secondary Zone, the development of which impacts the resources of the Primary Zone.
(For Commission Action)
- The Commission has been directed to report on status of review of the Plan. Staff will present an overall plan to review the plan, and present analysis of Utilities and Infrastructure Polices and Levee Policies. A report is due to the Legislature by January 10, 2005.
