- Review/Comment on Draft Delta Water Profile
- Note: Commission's CALFED Committee has been reviewing early drafts of Delta Water Profile to be reviewed by Bay Delta Public Advisory Committee and Bay Delta Authority shortly. This is an opportunity for the Commission to provide comments on the overall Delta Water Profile.
- Permission to Apply for and Participate in CALFED Funded Preparation of a Delta Drinking Water Quality Management Plan
- Staff Recommendation and Vote on the General Plan of the City of Oakley (For Possible Commission Action)
- The Commission will review and discuss the new City of Oakley's General Plan conformance with the Commission's Land Use and Resource Management Plan for the Primary Zone of the Delta.
- [Note: Must be approved by "majority vote of the Commission membership" (ten affirmative votes) ]
- Briefing on City of Elk Grove General Plan and "Planning Area" (For Commission Discussion and Possible Action)
- The City of Elk Grove has adopted a General Plan for the new City. The General Plan maps includes "planning areas" outside the City limits, and the Plan includes policies regarding those areas. Some of the "planning areas" are located in the Primary Zone of the Delta. City staff will brief the Commission on the City's vision for those lands.
- Discussion of River Islands-Sierra Club-City of Lathrop Law Suit Settlement for Impacts of Development in Secondary Zone (For Commission Information and Possible Action)
- River Islands staff will brief the Commission on the lawsuit settlement which provides for creation of a new land trust in San Joaquin County, and payment of mitigation fees to that land trust when the project starts construction and as development proceeds. The mitigation funds will be spent by the new land trust to purchase easements to protect agricultural lands in San Joaquin County.
- Update on Pending Legislation (For Commission Discussion and Possible Action)
- Report from Delta Land Use Impacts Committee Regarding Review of Projects in the Primary and Secondary Zones (For Information Only)
- Staff has prepared a summary of projects approved since approximately 1992 in the Legal Delta. The Committee has recommended review of certain projects and activities.
- Budget and Work Plan for FY 04-05 (For Commission Discussion and Possible Action)
- Budget and Finance Committee has reviewed proposed budget and work plan and recommends action by the full Commission. Key new planning project is preparation of recreation master strategy for Delta area using federal grant funds though Department of Boating and Waterways.
