    1. Dave Feliz, Department of Fish and Game staff, will brief the Commission on management of the lands in the Yolo Bypass and the status of development of a management plan for the approximately 13,000 acres acquired in the Yolo Bypass in Yolo County.
  10. Review 2002 Ecosystem Restoration Grants Recommended for Funding and Comments Prepared by CALFED Committee (For Commission Information Only)
    1. Staff will review the projects recommended for funding in the Delta Primary Zone and review the comments prepared by the CALFED Committee. NOTE: Comment letter to be sent under separate cover.
  11. Consideration and Possible Adoption of Comments on SB 1653 (Costa), Proposed Legislation to Create a CALFED Governance Entity (For Commission Action)
    1. The Commission will consider and possibly adopt comments on the proposed legislation to create a new CALFED governance entity. The Commission adopted comments on AB 1839 (Machado), the last proposed legislation on this issue (attached).
  12. Briefing on Department of Water Resources and Bureau of Reclamation Evaluation of State-Federal Acquisition of Delta Wetlands Project (For Possible Commission Action)
    1. TThe evaluation report is due to be released prior to May 23, starting a 30-day public review and comment period. If released, supplemental material will be sent to the Commission. Staff will brief the Commission on the report, the status of the project and CALFED In-Delta Storage Component. Staff will outline options for Commission comments on the evaluation report.
  13. Consideration and Possible Adoption of Comments on HR 3554 (Ose), Proposed Legislation to Transfer Federally-Owned Property in the Yolo Bypass to the State of California (For Commission Action)
    1. The Commission will consider and possibly adopt a work plan and budget for FY 02-03 which continues the same level of staffing, authorizes a request for an additional staff member, continues existing projects and programs.
  14. Consideration and Possible Adoption of Work Plan and Budget for FY 02-03 (For Commission Action)
    1. The Commission will consider and possible adopt modifications to the Commission's adopted Records Retention Policy.
  15. Consideration and Possible Position of Support for a Delta License Plate (For Consideration and Possible Action)
    1. The Commission will discuss and possibly adopt a position of support for new legislation to create a Delta license plate, the sale of which would create a long-term funding stream to support Commission's budget.
