- Staff of East Bay Regional Park District will brief the Commission on the proposed new regional park. A plan for the new park was approved by the EBRPD Board on October 16, 2001.
- Briefing on Delta Wetlands Project, Contra
Costa and San Joaquin Counties (For Commission Information Only)
- The Commission will review information about the Delta Wetlands Project to convert two islands to water storage (Webb and Bacon Islands) and two islands to habitat and retain 4,621acres of agriculture as part of a mosaic of habitat (Holland and Bouldin Islands).
- Review and Possible Adoption of Position of Support
for American Farmland Trust's CALFED Grant Request (For Commission Consideration
and Possible Action)
- The Commission will review and possibly adopt a position of support for the application of American Farmland Trust for funds to develop Best Management Practices for wildlife-friendly agriculture in the Delta.
- Review and
Possible Adoption of Concurrence for Staten Island Acquisition and Management
Agreements and Contracts, San Joaquin County (For Commission Consideration and Possible Action)
- Staff of The Nature Conservancy will brief the Commission on the conditions and tasks required as part of the contracts to fund acquisition of Staten Island. Acquisition funds are provided by Proposition 204 (Secretary for Resources) and Proposition 13 (Director of the Department of Water Resources). TNC staff will describe how the conditions of the contracts conform to the comments provided by the Delta Protection Commission on the acquisition of Staten Island.
