  8. 8. Briefing on Proposed Acquisition of Lands in the Yolo Bypass, Yolo County (For Public Hearing and Possible Commission Action)
    1. The Department of Fish and Game will brief the Commission on the proposed acquisition of 12,808+ acres of land as an addition to the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area (currently 3,735 acres) for the preservation and restoration of historic wetlands, habitat for wintering waterfowl and shorebirds, and other wetland associated species. The properties are located south of I-80, east of County Road 104, and lie within and adjacent to the Yolo Bypass in Yolo County. Funding for the proposed acquisitions is scheduled for consideration by the Wildlife Conservation Board at its meeting on August 30, 2001.
