- Mary Walker, Old River parkway Committee, will brief the Commission on the purpose and status of the nonprofit groups planning efforts to create a linear park between Wickland and Sugar Cuts, San Joaquin County.
- Consideration and Possible Agreement to Reconstitute
the Recreation Citizens Advisory Committee to Assist in the Preparation of Scoping
Document for the Delta Master Recreation Plan (For Commission Action)
- The Commission will consider, and possibly agree to appoint members of a new Recreation Citizens Advisory Committee.
- Update on Agriculture in the Primary Zone (For Public Hearing and Possible Commission Action)
- Staff will update the Commission on changes in agriculture in the Delta Primary Zone since the background report on Agriculture was presented in 1994. The Commission will direct staff to take further steps including: working with CALFED and local governments and non-profits, develop criteria to protect agricultural land in the Delta Primary Zone; develop information about sources of funds available for acquisition of agricultural easements; refine guidelines for buffers between agriculture and habitat enhancement projects and identify a pilot/demonstration project in the Delta Primary Zone; and other tasks.
- Adopt Budget and Work Plan for Fiscal Year 01-02. (For Public Hearing and Commission Action)
- The Commission will consider and adopt a budget and work plan for the upcoming fiscal year, and will direct the Executive Director to execute contracts with State Lands Commission for administrative and fiscal services, with Teale Data Center for maintenance of the Commission's website; and with Department of Conservation for Geographic Information Services.
