Linda Fiack

Linda Fiack was appointed by the Delta Protection Commission to serve as Executive Director on August 1, 2005.  Ms. Fiack has extensive background and experience in the management of natural resources.

Prior to accepting her position with the Delta Protection Commission, Ms. Fiack held the position of Deputy Director of Yolo County Planning, Resources and Public Works for four years, where her focus was on planning and management in the areas of water, parks, minerals, habitat, and open space.

Ms. Fiack was on the staff of the California State Lands Commission from 1971 to 2000 as the Team Manager for the Northern California Land Management Team, responsible for managing all projects involving northern California lands under the jurisdiction of the Commission, as well as statewide dredging projects.

She has extensive training in conflict resolution and likes the challenge of bringing compromise solutions to issues with an open-minded approach.  She has found her background and experience at both the State and local levels of government to be an asset in serving the Delta Protection Commission and those that live, work and play in the Delta.

Ms. Fiack currently serves as a member of the Delta Vision Planning Team, the Delta Risk Management Strategy Steering Committee, and the Long Term Management Strategy for Dredging Management Committee.

Ms. Fiack has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration with a minor in environmental studies from California State University, Sacramento.
